Candle Care & Safety

Celia Loves candles are hand-poured in small batches using natural soy wax, so you may notice minor surface variations. These are completely normal and do not affect the quality or burn performance.

Please take a moment to read through the following safety and care instructions to ensure safe and optimal enjoyment of your Celia Loves candle.

Β

CANDLE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Do not burn near drafts,Β fans, air vents or open windows.Β

Always trim your candle wick to 4mm before each use to prevent excessive smoke and large flames.

Allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface on each burn to prevent tunnelling.Β

Stop burning when 10mm of wax remains at the bottom of the glass to prevent overheating or breakage.

Do not move a burning candle. Wait until wax is solid and glass is completely cool before handling.Β

Never allow the flame to touch the side of the glass.

Do not use if glass is cracked, chipped or damaged.

Never extinguish with water. Use a snuffer or blow gently and steadily to extinguish.Β

Always place candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface. The glass may become hot.Β

Avoid direct sunlight and heat exposure to prevent discolouration or warping of wax.Β

Keep candle free of debris, wick trimmings, and foreign objects.

Keep candle away from small children and pets.

Β

RECOMMENDED BURN TIMES

Different candle sizes burn best for different durations. Follow the guide below to achieve a safe, even burn and get the most from your Celia Loves candle.

Β

395gms (80hr) Candle: 2-4 hours (maximum 4 hours).

195gms (40hr) Candle: 1-3 hours (maximum 3 hours).

95gms (25hr) Candle: 0.5-2 hours (maximum 2 hours).

Burning for less than the minimum time can cause tunnelling (uneven wax).

Burning for longer than the maximum time can overheat the glass and cause the vessel to crack or break.

Β

CANDLE CARE TIPS

1. Trim the wick before every burn to around 4mm. Long or crooked wicks can cause uneven burning, sooting, or excessive smoke.

    2. Allow a full melt pool each burn. This means the wax has melted right to the edges. It helps your candle burn evenly and last longer.

    3. Extinguish carefully using a snuffer if possible, or gently blow out the flame without splattering wax.

    4. Clean the glass rim with a dry or slightly damp cloth if soot appears.

    5. Store your candle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.

    6. Reuse your glass once your candle is finished! Wash with warm, soapy water and repurpose as a vase, pen holder, or bathroom accessory.
